Wampanoag and Eskimo Clothing
Wampanoag clothing
Within the Wampanoag tribe the woman wore knee length skirts and breechcloth shirt. Men wore a breechcloth outfit. Knee length skirts was common in this area because they were long enough to keep them warm in the winter and short enough to keep the cool in the summer. Breechcloth was thick enough to withstand the cold but light enough to keep out the heat. Men wore breechcloth for the same reason as the woman but for them it was easier to move around in while hunting. For shoes they either wore no shores or moccasins.
Moccasins were very easy to go silent in. it was very easy to find all the materials with all the trees.
Eskimo clothing
The Eskimo wore big heavy animal skin winter coats. Just imagine your winter coat at home x5!! They wore these big heavy coats because it was very cold so they needed something to keep them warn and to protect their skin. They also wore these to protect them from a fall. Just think about it when you fall on snow does it hurt??? Of course so they have a lot of padding because it is very icy.
